In this weeks 2 hour show we start with some eastern delights from Niyaz and Natasha Atlas, then on to France, Italy Brazil and there is also some glorious reggae too. The featured album is from German jazz collective Re;Jazz - Point Of View from 2004 and there’s also a look at the Songlines Magazine Award nominations, finishing with a track from man of the moment David Bowie, so enjoy.

We start with an amazing sonic feast from Amon Tobin after a triumphant gig at Bexhill DLWP, new music from Japan on Far Out records from J’s Bee and also new work from Brazil’s finest Bossa singer Joyce, our featured album this week is Yo by Roberto Fonseca. A mini feature on the music of Algeria including the 123-Soleils concert from Paris circa 1998. And to finish there is a small tribute to the great Kenny Ball who sadly passed away very recently. It’s a celebration of the music of Courtney Pine in the second hour as he rolls into town for a gig at the Komedia. There are some fine worldwide tunes, so enjoy.
